Lakeview/Wrigleyville
The Lakeview/Wrigleyville area is host to a significant portion of the Chicago Marathon, numerous arts festivals, market days, and the Lakeview Garden Walk. At the lakefront you’ll find Belmont Harbor, a haven for Chicago’s boating enthusiasts. Residents have easy access to local music venues like the Vic (Photo 1).

The neighborhood is also home to one of Chicago’s biggest attractions, Wrigley Field (Photo 2). Even with their championship drought, the Cubs still manage to sell out every home game, and it is quite an experience. The roof decks that surround the stadium are a fantastic way to spend the day with friends. If the game is over and you are still itching to have some more fun, head over to Sluggers to practice your swing on batting cages, or just grab a drink at neighborhood favorites like The Cubby Bear or Harry Caray’s (Photo 3). If you are looking for a different scene, try the Wild Hare, a venue that features live reggae music on a nightly basis or Comedy Sportz, a live improv comedy show. It’s rarely a dull day in Lakeview.
