There is so much to do in Chicago, especially in the summer time. For those who love activities, these neighborhoods are the place to be. North Ave Beach and Oak St Beach (Photo 1) are filled with people who have grabbed their bikes, volleyballs, and sunscreen and are out enjoying the weather. Both the beach and the fields next door have tons of intramural sports options, a great way to make new friends and bond with old ones!
In regards to shopping, Oak Street is filled with 5-star stores, while Wells Street offers retail for the trendy yet cost conscious shopper. Both allow for fantastic people watching. If you’re looking for some laughs, head over to The Second City (Photo 2) or Zanies, two of Chicago’s better known comedy clubs, where you’ll always leave with a smile on your face. Also, these neighborhoods border the Lincoln Park Zoo (Photo 3), always a great option for those who want to spend a day on safari (and it’s free!).
