I've been to Chicago many times and I agree with your that the three Blues bars above are by far the best! But I would have to agree with you that my favorite would be Buddy Buy's Legends because you can't beat being able to hear the blues 7 times a week. It IS the mecca for blues.

Great ideas! I also love the use of bookshelves as a room divider. They look great if you get bookshelves with no back – so that it’s open on both sides – to make it more of an “airy” look.
